The Mark Spencer Hotel - Downtown

Opened in 1907 as the Nortonia Hotel its was a 'gay' hit with traveling theater performers and celebrities.

The hotel was rebranded in 1966 and renamed Mark Spencer Hotel, still  retaining its intention to act as a home away from home for artists,  performers, tourists, in the heart of the Gay District, an area still celebrated today, with the hotel located at 11th and Harvey Milk.  You will discover well-appointed accommodations, excellent services, and an unbeatable location.   It's also just two blocks from the Travel Gay Visitors Center, and across the street from  one of Portland's oldest gay bars Scandals http://www.scandalspdx.com/
